| Programme Objectives |
Whether in a management position, as a team leader or a member of a team, or simply in daily life, there will be occasions where it is necessary to express your views and to listen and respect opposing views. There is often reluctance to express criticism, praise, bad news or one’s own needs and goals in fear of real or imagined reprisals. These situations can be daunting and are frequently avoided rather than dealt with. This is unhealthy for the individual, the team and the company. This course teaches you how to express yourself assertively and to handle these kinds of situations so that everyone concerned feels valued and respected, even if the final outcome may not necessarily be what you or another individual was aiming for. It will give you confidence to confront and resolve difficult issues satisfactorily for all parties. |
